Okay... if I'm understanding you correctly, your standalone dvd player is a ps2 and you'd like to take some movie downloads and encode them to be watchable on this standalone dvd player/ps2?

Easy; there's numerous apps (full versions of which can also be torrented, right? Right.) that can do that; here's a link to a freebie:

However, this is only conversion; burning the resulting files successfully to dvd would require another app. As far as I know, one of the few apps that will do this is Nero Burning Rom. A tutorial on how to burn the dvd files properly with Nero is here: http://www.dvd-guides.com/content/view/40/59/

If you have any additional questions about it, you can write me with this Yahoo Answers thing or post a question at http://forums.torrentportal.com where I co-moderate as "corypolo". Even if you do not choose to register, you can post as a guest in the Anonymous section.

Not all DVD players are the same...PS2 may not recognize the encoding that your burner uses. Stand-alone players, designed specifically for DVDs, are far more compatible with the multitude of formats out there...you should check your manuals on both sides of the equation.
