Some glass beads (powder like) are what they use to form the reflective surface on highway signs and stripes. They are just sprayed down on top of the paint and they reflect whatever color they are put on. Some glass beads are used for sandblasting.

well you take glass and get it hot so it flows then you either mold it or form beads another way. the color comes from different chemicals in the dye or in the glass itself
