Don't listen! Yes, you can bring it but bear in mind the folllowing:

1) You will need to have some modifications for US road worthiness. Probably not much because European cars are built to very similar standards to US cars (except California where emissions may crucify you)

2) You better have a good mechanic and a source for spares. Remember that there aren't any Alfa deaslerships here so parts are hard to come by.

I thought long and hard about bringing my Lancia Y to the States and nixed it for the above reasons. We made the inverse mistake many years ago of taking a Capri from the USA to Europe. We wrecked it and the insurance wrote it off and paid us peanuts because we couldn't get parts.

Alfa Romeo make some of the worst cars in the world. I made the mistake of owning one once and it was like a bottomless pit in which to throw money into.

As often as these crap cars break down you are going to want to be near a dealership, and those are a little thin on the ground in America.

Dump your Italian rust bucket and buy a nice reliable Japanese car when you get to America.

Sorry to say this but F**K American and asian cars. thats just my opinion they are horrible cars. European cars have all the best attributes exsept for reliablity but are more reliable then american cars. European cars are the safest, nicest, fastest, best handling, peformance, best queality etc.............
but if i would import a car i would import something of more value not an alfa romeo probaly like a special porsche, etc.....
