I would certainly recommend osteopathy, this is not as horrific as some chiropractors can be. The osteopath will focus on releasing muscles which are causing the pain. This then allows the back to heal.
I have suffered back pain for over 10 years since the age of 18 and tried numerous things such as acupuncture, chiropractors, machines, physio but it has been the osteopath that has worked for me.
If it is a long standing problem then maybe a doctor will send you for x rays or a MRI scan which can tell you what the problem is.
I hope you get better very soon.

Hi it really depends on what type of back pain, it your muscles are imflamed then ibuprofen should do the trick, but i would go to the doctors and see how many he recommends you to take because you could be allergic to them. If its just back pain no swelling physio could also help, My dad has had back pain for years but nothing can cure it because its due to wear and tear, but that may not be the case for you, i would go to the doctors and see what he thinks.

Find out if there is a specific injury causing your pain. Exercise specfically for your back hopefully can decrease pain and get you fit as well. And get your legs in shape. Squats are great but hard so stick with it. If your legs are in shape there will be no hesitation in using them when bending over and lifting heavy objects.

Chiropractor or I think it also depends on your age. If you are an adult Chiropractor would be the best.
