Since both side which kidnapped Israeli soldiers have ties with Iran, and Iran was looking to keep the UN out until August,it seems probable.

I think it is a smoke screen for the Nuclear Program in North Korea and Iran. Both of those countries are lucky that this conflict happened, they have more reason to boost their military and resources IE: Nuclear Bombs. I feel so bad about this because the US has spent so much money, time, and lives fighting in Iraq. If they had just waited, we would've had the perfect chance right now to make progress into estabilizing this very troublesome region of the world. Now we have lost all internation confidence and support and are the laughter of the world. If we just had waited before attacking one of the lowest threats in the middle east, we could've disarmed those two with the support of the international countries and we could've definitely have stepped forward for peace in the middle east.

yes. The upcoming bombing and invasion of China by the USA.
US action has already established legality and thus the moral obligation to engage in pre-emptive military actions, so the new rule is to shoot first and ask questions later. Whether China pulls the trigger or US pulls the trigger first is the only question.Who dares wins.
It is almost certain to be a missile exchange because there are not enough Americans to actually invade against that many people, and nobody has enough boats to ship the Chinese army.
The Chinese also mentioned once that they do not need many missiles, they had suitcases. Makes you wonder, missiles and missile defence are the style of the last war, personally delivered devices are the style of most of the modern conflicts.

Edit: walter, use your imagination, show some original creative thinking.

I don't think it is a smoke screen for a larger terrorist event, I think it is a smoke screen for control of natural resources. IE: oil
