Well, there are still children left behind and I don't remember ever seeing any tax refund that everyone talks about. Everyone I know has done worse during the Bush years than during the Clinton years. My mother-in-law was sitting pretty in the 90's, but that has declined since 2000 because of the economy and the stock market. He's about to veto stem cell research, so if anyone in my family gets Parkinson's or Alzheimer's disease, there won't be enough research to help them. He's taken away my grandfather's healthcare. And don't even get me started on the whole Iraq fiasco. No, I can't think of anything that he has done that has helped my family.

not really. The state in which I live has voiced the failure of no child left behind. Many elderly are doing without medication because they have reached the "dead zone" of the coverage now in place with medicare (they cannot afford the 2-3000 dollar out of pocket cost that has to be paid until coverage will pick up again). The tax breaks went no where with the rising costs of the war in Iraq and the fall out of pissed off big oil companies. They hate Bush and we pay for it at the pumps...the tax break didn't help in the long run at all.

if you wanted to look at it in another light, the elite light, then you could say that the family structure has been successfully trimmed down population wise due to military associated incidents of death..Iraqi population control via warfare has also occured.

Let people fight their own battles maybe? If it was important enough for us to stand up for our own liberty here in the US, then it should be important enough for other countries to stand up and fight for themselves as well.

- He signed the McCain-Feingold campaign finance bill and reduced the amount of soft-money influence. Now, everyone plays by a more level playing field by increasing the influence of hard money ($2000 per person per candidate or something like that). I’d argue that this increases the political influence of the average citizen.

- A good number of middle class folks with 401(k) or 403(b) accounts will benefit from the elimination of the dividend tax. This will effectively grant them an increase in their rate of return, which will help out in the long run as investments compound (DRIPs and such).

Last tax season he signed a child Tax Credit in which most people got up to 600.00 back, extra.

what would you have the president do for you? I mean the economy is chugging along, unemployment is near record lows. There are alot of problems in the country, and world, but there is only so much a president controls. Perhaps you need to be talking to, writing your senators and congressmen. They are the ones who really have to do things to make laws.

Booming economy
Low taxes
Low unemployment

What more do you want? Isn't that all the government is supposed to do? Supply the opportunity?

Expand your mind. It's obvioulsy filled with bile and irrational hatred created by morons like Michael Moore. Look around. Life isn't nearly as catastrophic as you peole would like it to be.

I would rather have a president that gives tax cuts to all, than one who supports the killing of babies (how is that for doing something for children and families?)

He cut taxes, which is not helping only the rich. Our economy would be in far worse shape were it not for the tax cuts. I can explain this further if you like.
