Nope...probably means she's right handed. When she's sucking that left thumb, she has her right hand free to explore her surroundings. My dd sucks her two middle fingers on her left hand (she's right handed) and has since about 3 months old. She's 2.5 years now and I don't know HOW I'll break her of it. GL to you!

It doesn't neccessarily mean that at all. My daughter, who is 12 mo., sucks her two middle fingers on her left hand, but really favors reaching and playing w/ her right hand. For this reason, her left side is really stiff due to having her fingers and arm so close to her body. Try, when your child plays, to have her reach and grab equally with her left hand as much as she does her right or vice versa. It's great as far as fine motor skills are concerned.

But you should stop her or her thumb will end up crookid.

nope, thumb sucking is a disgusing habit to be doing as an adult so please get her to stop. i know it's disgusting because my sister does it and she's married and has 2 kids!

no.... my parents say that if you suck your thumb, you could get a brother if you get a sibling and if you suck your index finger, you get a sister.
