no, definitely not.
The US hasn't used nuclear weapons on anyone (lately, anyway). Also, when you have people like Ahmadinejad from Iran EXPRESSING that a country or race should be wiped out, that is very dangerous. They should NOT have nuclear weapons capability.

Actually, the US does not have the right to create nuclear weapons. The US signed the NPT, which requires it make good faith efforts to reduce its nuclear weapons, which it is not doing.
In addition, there are a number of misleading answers in this list. Here are some facts: 1) Though Iran is widely suspected of violating the NPT, there is no proof of this. That is why no action has been taken against them. 2) The US bombed Japan without knowing the destructive power of the bomb. This is incorrect; the US tested the nuclear bomb before dropping it on Japan. 3) "They" are not civilized, "we" are. This is essentially meaningless propaganda. Those kind of statements were used to justify slavery, invading Manchuria, the holocaust, etc. Utterly puerile. 4) "Mark my word, N. Korea is going to hold a country for ransom if they are not stopped." N. Korea is already holding South Korea for ransom; they have enough artillery on their border to reduce Seoul to rubble in about 30 seconds. They do not need nukes to do this, though they have them.
Ultimately, though, disregarding the NPT for a moment, the answer is yes. If the US has the right to make weapons, it follows that the other states do too. If the other states don't, then the US does not either.

The adage, two wrongs don't make a right come to mind. Why should the US have weapons? If (and that is a big word) the question is specific to your phrase "since USA has it" then two wrongs don't make a right.
On the other hand, we live in a global community. If an assembly of the nations considers that a particular nation should be prevented from having certain weapons, then I support that every country should NOT have a right to make their own weapons.

You know this is not some high school debate this comes down to life and death for millions of people. It doesn't matter in conflict who is right or who is wrong. It only matters who lives and who dies. I personally would rather the bomb was never invented and I hope it never gets used again (unlikely)but it's here so which end do you wish to be on should it ever get used again, the giving or receiving end?

no. America should be the only country with WMD's. America is only trying to promote freedom and democracy around the planet and should be able to do so with the unilateral threat of annihilation. Why should any nation opposed to the US have the right or capability to fight back? That is not what we are all about. With a president chosen by God, himself, the USA has the right to disarm any opponent before smashing their nations to smithereens.

No, we are civilized, they are not. The only time we used them was when we did not know the destructive power they held. We use them as a deterent agains messing with us, the other countries that you are thinking of only want to use them as offensive weapons. Mark my word, N. Korea is going to hold a country for ransom if they are not stopped.

Until you sign a treaty (Nuclear nonProliferation Treaty) or other law binding you not to make weapons, you do have the right. The problem with Iran is that they signed the NPT but are building weapons in violation of it.

the point i think we're missing here is history sez the arms merchant rules the world, which was Germany's vast steel industry up to WWI and now it is the USA.
For the nation that can sell a factory product, they can gain flexibility with rapid design and real-world testing.

Yes, they have the right to make their own weapons, but they must accept the fact that they may be thumped if they do.
