do not commit the biggest mistake I did. My mother and I aren't close at all. I had my period for 3 months, before my mom found out. She found a stain on my bed. Let me tell you, she was pissssed. I would never forget that. I felt so bad that I didn't tell her, and I could tell that she was very hurt. Tell her, it will hurt her feelings bad if you don't. Trust me I've been there and I highly regret not telling her. I suggest that you write a note, being that it would be less embarrassing, but make sure no one else gets there hands on it. Good luck.

well.. im going to start off with saying congradulations. :)
but my mom died when i was in pre-school, so i dont have any experience telling my mom, but i had to tell my dad (OMG lol). So I guess I could still help you since I had to do something more embarassing.
k, well im sure your mom has been expecting it to come sooner or later. she'll be happy you shared it with her, promise! just take a deep breath and say, "mom.. i got my period." and she'll prolly take you to the store to get pads and tampons.
it'll be embarassing, but you need to tell her.
good luck and congradulations once again!

It's perfectly normal to be sacred, because it's someting very personal. I still remember the first time...I didn't tell my mom for 3 months! She most likely remembers her first time, and will want to help you and answer any questions you might have. Just do it! You'll feel SO much better if you do. Good luck!!

Congratulations. You are now a woman. That is nothing to be ashamed to tell your mom, or your dad. Tell her and be happy, it's a great thing. Your dad should take you out for ice cream or something like rice cakes if you're into healthy food.

I feel as though I am repeating the other's but as a mom I would want to know. It's nothing to be ashamed of or anything that you've done wrong and your mother might be able to provide you advise. Just get her to herself and just come out with it. A woman's first period is in a way a reason to celebrate as it pronounces you as a woman. :) welcome to womanhood :)
good luck with whatever you do.

So what have you been using for pads? Did she tell you ahead of time to prepare you or are you using her's? Trust me your mother is your best friend to share this with at this time and understands what your going through. It is nothing to be ashamed of and happens to all woman.

Feel the fear and do it anyways. Just tell her and you might be surprised with her reaction. Why are you scared - do you think she will be mad? She will probably be so proud of you for becoming a woman that you will blush.

Please just tell her. Your mom will give you the best advice and you can trust her! I am a mom and I would be so hurt if my daughter felt that she could not tell me something. As parents, we want to be your friend too!
