While I am very opinionated I am NOT looking to start a fight. I sincerely just focus on the bad and have a negative perspective about our current state of politics. I honestly only look at what shortcomings the whitehouse had produced. Really truly what are some honest to goodness GOOD things that have been accomplished by Geroge W Bush thus far? Thank You

You mean aside from improving the economy(Since May 2003, the economy has added nearly 4.5 million new jobs. The unemployment rate is down to 5 percent - lower than the average for the 1970s, 1980s, and 1990s. Last quarter, the economy grew at 4.1 percent and has been growing steadily for more than two years. ), protecting our country from terrorists (no terrorist attacks on american soil since 9/11), and bringing democratic elections to the opressed & abused people of Iraq? You might want to check out the whitehouse.gov press releases - they publish a yearly tally of Bush's accomplishments as our president.

Booming economy and low taxes (both of which are very important for the middle class).

Extremely low unemployment.

Universal Prescription Drug plan. Now everyone gets their meds.

No Child Left Behind. You can argue that it's not perfect, but at least he has people focused - finally - on the failings of our public school system.

He brought focus to our failed, totally failed, social security system. While nobody would let him fix it, at least he has people thinking about it now. Young people really should look closer at that fiasco.

He finally, after we've been attacked for over a decade, took a stand against terrorism.

He's honestly and earnestly trying to find a solution to illegal immigration that works for everyone. If he was the hateful man liberals claim, he would've just closed the border, rounded up the illegals, and shipped them back to their abject poverty in Mexico.

There's others, but I think that's a pretty good starter list.

1) Took a $127.2 billion dollar surplus and converted it into $354.2 billion dollar deficit in three short years.
2) Took the good will of nations around the globe in the aftermath of September 11th, 2001 and squandered it by violating international treaties the US had signed, starting an illegal war and made America more hated abroad than at any other time in its history.
3) Took the public determination to make America safer after 9/11 and turned it into a full frontal assault on civil liberties while allowing billions to be wasted by FEMA.

I'm afraid I'm in the same boat as you, and perused the other answers to find out for myself.....I can't think of one good thing that has come out of the Bush administration....although one of the other people that responded seem to think that our economy is booming, everyone is working, and all is honky dorry....maybe they're a Big Business owner! : )

He opened up a couple of post offices. That's kind of good. Unless of course one of the workers loses it one day and comes in with an AK-47.

Well, putting it that way, just made my view darken all the more, because I honestly tried hard to think of something... Anything! and there's nothing that I can think of. Nope. not one single tiny thing.
