obviously you can say pretty much anything you want to here. Unless it impacts others freedoms or causes panic ie. yelling fire in a theatre
Otherwise people like Cindy Sheehan and Luis Ferikan (sp?) wouldnt have a leg to stand on .. hes even been know to speak violently about the US.

We used to have this freedom, but it is quickly going away. Once the liberals invented "hate speech," it pretty much opened the flood gates. Yes, it's wrong to taunt someone for their differences, but it should not be against the law.
And, everyone needs to be aware that being able to say whatever you want does not mean that there will be no SOCIAL consequences. If you are an entertainer and insist on spewing out your political beliefs instead of just singing, acting, whatever, then be prepared for people to stop buying your product.

And the framers of our constitution even expected us to openly say bad things and act out against our government, overthrowing it if necessary. But the changes that were made after that certain date (that everyone knows and evokes far too many emotions to mention) make some people feel uncomfortable about what we can and cannot say now.

Yes, But you can get arrested for it if you break any laws like threatening others liberty, property or life.
This is just my theory.
It's like when the policeman stops you for speeding the best thing to do is not say a word that might piss him off and motivate him to act out his aggression on you ...remember he has the gun.

Within reason.
You cannot yell fire in a crowded theatre is there is no fire.
You cannot advocate the violent overthrow of the nation.
You cannot state that you are going to kill a particular person.
With rights come responsibilities.

no, we are not free to say anything. We are free to say some things, but not others. Rule of thumb for you, don't press your luck.
