LOL thanx for the laughs.... and what alot of you don't understand. I do know her, we have been together for 4 years and gotta along okay till NOW!

I have one of those maybe they could keep each other company! My mother-in-law is HORRIBLE! She knows everything...yet nothing! She is a religious fanatic and it drives me crazy. She is always praying for my sins! By sins I mean not going to church because my job requires me to work every Sunday. She is also a penny miser. One year she asked if I had anything to go in her yard sale. I gave her clothing I no longer wanted. Two years later she gave me one of the outfits I had given her for my birthday. She debates and under minds my choices from meals to how I do laundry.
She asks personal questions about our finances. I have even caught her snooping through our things. If I ever borrowed money off of her I could understand asking questions.
She rinses out bread bags because she will not buy saran wrap. If you buy her something new she sells it. This woman is not broke...she is comfortable with money. One year she gave my 16 year old daughter a strawberry short cake hat clearly marked 2T. She recycles cards. She whites out the writing and then gives it to someone else. She has picked leftovers we have tossed out of the garbage and argued that they were fine! We can never trust eating at her house because nothing has an expiration date in her mind. I could go on and on!

I agree with serendipity's answer, but only if there is room to hide my mother in laws body to.

I moved out of the area. Now I dont have to have anything to do with het. When she calls, she calls my husbands cell. With us being away, it makes the holidays so much better.

Be more open minded. She just wants to be helpful. Sometimes moms can be a little over bearing. Just let her know what's bothering you . She can't read your mind!

Not much you can do...just try to be nice, grit your teeth and smile. if killing her with kindness doesn't work, just don't let anything she says or does get to you. you would be surprised how many people don't get along with there in-laws.

She will not always be around...your day will come...
I had the best and she was at times a pain in the duppa too.......but I love my hubby enough to keep it zipped........he did not deserve two of us.....

You could shoot her, but then you'd have to answer for murder... Learn to live with her... You only get to choose the man, not his family. Take care!
