I bought Civ III at Walmart the other day, and I can't get it to work. I keep getting the error message Please insert the Civ III disk.
Is Walmart just selling a defective product?

It's possible it was recorded on to a disk that your computer can't read. It's also possible that your CD drive is not fast enough for the CD to work. It's also possible that your CD is dying (mine did that with computer games before it died) Check it on another computer before you send it back.

doubtful its defective.... I just got it too.... addictive....do other games still work in your puter.....?.... maybe its a compatibliity issue.
ACTUALLY, Mine did this before, try rebooting since you installed it... sometimes this works.
if you have 2 drives try the 2nd.....
