She has pain when she is sitting down and what I'm wondering is whether or not they are some exercises that I don't know about that might help her out. Any chiropractors in cyber land today? Help me out if you can..........

Coccyx displacement can bring about many distressful symptoms (other than soreness). There are ligaments attached which also are attached to the pubic bone.. is called the pubo-coccygeal sling.. inviting many problems in the pelvic region.. prolapse among them.. Would recommend that it be checked and if displaced, have it put back where it belongs.

I personally know that there is nothing a doctor can do for a broken coccyx. It's is painful, yes. Take anti-inflammatories, like Ibuprofen or aspirin with food, to reduce the swelling and pain. Warm baths help too. She will just have to wait a couple of weeks and sit on a "donut" (the blow up kind you find in the drug store) for comfort. I know it's extremely painful, but I also know it will resolve on it's own. Good Luck to you both.

First of all see a doctor and see what their findings are regarding the injury.

As for comfort, this will sound silly, get her a donut....This is a device that looks like a life saver, it's made of rubber and when she sits on it her tail bone will not make contact with anything yet she has support for the rest of her posterior.

Have her get checked out. My father hurt his tailbone years ago, and it developed an abcess which pained him for years. It grew around the bundle of nerves which is protected by the tailbone, and drained every now and then. By the time he finally got around to having surgery to have it removed, it was fist-sized. He was in terrible pain and had to have visiting nurses in for weeks to help take care of him. That may be extreme, but if she's broken her tailbone, or somehow damaged the nerves underneath, she especially needs to get taken care of.

Tailbones are always painful no matter how you hurt them. If it is pain that she cant stand, go to the doctor if you can. Sometimes it goes away itself after a few months. Good luck

Your wife should go to the doctor ASAP. If she has a broken bone, it needs to be attended immediately. Bruised tailbone will heal slowly.

I hurt mine several years ago in a fall, and it took forever to get better. It's kind of like breaking your toe, there isn't a whole lot you can do to make it better.

what the hell are you waiting for??? Spinal inguries can cause paralysis and not instantly either, don't delay in getting her to a medical centre immediately, unless you want the resposability of caring for a cripple the rest of your life.
