Another word instead of Barn ( which is most popular) is Brye.

They live in a big semi detached house with their mum and dad. Sometimes their brother and sister live there as well, but when they grow up they move to Cornwall to try and make it big as film directors of that annoying advert with the dancing cow. The local council are really putting pressure upon the cows to sell up and move out of their houses but they won't buckle under the pressure, oh no. They have a secret plan, but that's the answer to a different question.

Are you doing a crossword puzzle or something? If cows are beef cattle, they live in the field until they are taken to the abbatoir to be turned in hamburger and steaks. If they are dairy cows they live in the barn full time, until they stop producing, when they join the other beef cattle at the abbatoir. None of that starts with a 'b' but it does explain where cows live.

there are kept in the Field until the weather turns bad, then they are taken into slatted house or a shed and kept there until the next spring, been given hay, calf nut's or silage. when they are let back into the field's the house is then cleared out.
