chlorine has a slight drying effect, which can slightly help slow down or get rid of poison ivy.

I've never heard of this before. Just remember that chlorine can be poisonous to the body...so please be careful with this. Poison ivy sap causes an allergic reaction, causing redness with intense itching. Taking benedryl may help, and calamine lotion or even a benedryl cream may help with the itching. If it starts to get infected, then please go see an doctor. Best of luck to you.......
