Right now my husband is stationed at Charleston SC Air Force Base, and the area is very dangerous, North charleston is the 12th most dangerous city in America! he works on C-17 planes, does anybody know of any Air Force bases that are in good neigborhoods?

I lived on an Air force base in North Dakota in 1981 and it is still just as safe today. Minot.ND. ( the winter there lasts 8 months.)
In Lampoc (sp)California, I stayed not on the base...at an apartment... that was a SAC base it might be closed now. I enjoyed it as a kid. It seemed pretty safe. good luck.

Yes , Dyess AFB, in Abilene , Texas. I was stationed there for six years and I loved it. The people of Abilene love their base and appreciate the base personel very much. Abilene is a clean christain city of one hundred thousand people. As you can see I recommend it very highly. Good Luck to You
