Dude... no matter what they say, women are attracted to confidence and strength, not vulnerability. Grief? spiking your tender heart? Sheez... even if it's true, don't let her know it. A man does not make his decisions based on fear, but on confidence and strength. Your question is whining... actually petulant.
Whatever she said, she said because she doesn't see you as a man. How your acting tells me why.
Of course we are vulnerable. Of course we can be hurt. Of course our hearts are tender. But we have to be able to deal with that. We can't show our weaknesses until we are so strong that doing so is a display of strength. (Yes, I'm hurting, but... I CAN DEAL WITH IT ALONE IF I MUST. I AM A MAN.)
