Kuwait Emir's lost the regime when they were invaded by Saddam. So power in Kuwait is gift of Americans. So American's has right to say Emir to go for the full fledged democracy in Kuwait. Further Kuwait has elected parliament which has no much power and every time Emir is dissolving the parliment. Kuwait is the best country to start the democracy in Middle East.

Kuwait is already a totally subservient client state, who cares about whether they ever are democratic, the same applies to Saudi Arabia and Pakistan. This is not about freeing Arabs from Dictatorship it is about securing US's oil supply.(and I am not saying that is wrong, but lets be honest about it)

He didn't feel Kuwait was a threat.Saddam was as dangerous as Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and Kim Jung-il , the only difference is Bush stopped Saddam.
