I need ideas for activities and outings because the previous leader did not do much. I would love to hear about any experiences your daughters may have had in Scouts. All ideas will be appreciated. Thanks!

We did a mini treasure hunt aroung the neighbor hood, but needed to find things that would be related to the book (maybe to even help get them a badge)

We put on a neighbor hood play for whoever wanted to come for free!

We also made butter with cream and a marble.. The recipe is out there in the girl scout books.

Both of the previous posts are very good ideas. When "my girls" were Brownies, they were so happy to go anywhere it was easy to please them. What I found very helpful, and I really mean this, is for you to wear some sort of Girl Scout shirt even on your own time. When you are around town turn on your "Girl Scout Leader Eye" and start looking at all of the businesses, parks, buildings, jobs, places with the "eye" of "hum, I wonder if "my girls" would like to see the behind the scenes of this or that place"? Then, because you are wearing a Girl Scout shirt, you approach the owner and ask if you can visit; after hours, behind the scenes, whatever, and you will be hard pressed to get a No. My girls, who are Senior Girl Scouts now, say that they have "slept around" everywhere. We've slept overnight in museums, aquariums, movie theaters, civic centers, nuclear power plants. We've had a blast. The trick is to just start looking at where you go and who you see as "how can you use them, for your girls".

i replace right into a troop chief. We had it each 2 weeks. One week we'd do a attempt it from the Brownie instruction manual and earn a patch. the subsequent time we'd do a craft for a trip or some thing relaxing. There additionally are little journeys you're able to do or have concentrated visitor audio equipment. we'd take the girls to the publish place of work or an area ice cream shop, issues like that.

Go to the local park and identify animals, flowers, trees, etc and have a picnic.
Have a field day (games and races).
Go to a local theatre or dance performance (try the local college).
Go caroling at the nursing home.
Visit the museums and historical sights.
Have the girls plan their own Halloween party (we did this when I was a 1st grader in Brownies-we divided up into different committes).
Make a mural.

When in doubt go through their badge book and see if there is any badge that you could have the girls earn and create activities around it.

Without playing games, don’t be available 100% of the time or let your life be an open book. A man that comes on too strong or doesn’t have outside interests will scare a woman away just as much as it would if the circumstances were reversed. Read here http://AttractAnyWoman.emuy.info/?zeXa

Women don’t want to feel as though they are completely responsible for your happiness and that is what it feels like when the other person has no outside interests. Men who are overeager or jump when the woman says jump are the ones who are more likely to end up in the friend zone. This doesn’t mean that you should play the game of not calling for a few days; it means that you should set healthy boundaries until you both naturally find a spot for the other in your lives.
