Depending get him a subscription to the Wall Street Journal and/or the New York Times. I live in california and those are the best news papers for people with those types of interests. Get him a gift certificate for a manicure (men actually love those and he would think it actually funny if he has a good sense of humor), but get it from somewhere kind of retro don't go to a girly salon. Buy him a good book that is easy to read like Who's Your Caddy. If he drinks you could get him those small airplane bottles of liquor 28 of them put it in a basket then he can share them at his birthday party. Buy him tickets to a good comedy show.

Well it depends on how old you are. Why don't you treat your brother for a day outing to spend some time with him if he is already married. I'm going to be 27 tomorrow. Maybe he has a child(ren) take them off his hands so he can do something special for himself. Ask what he likes, and if it don't cost to much maybe you can get that item for him, and give it to him. Their is so much ideals that you can do, or ways. Or you can send him a birthday card, and wish him a happy birthday, to tell him that you are thinking about him. It's not the money, real estate or anything that you said. It's the thoughts that counts.

I think it is called "America: The Book" by the writers of the Daily Show and Jon Stewart, one big parody of our political system.

What about a magazine subscription? I got my brother-in-law the magazine The Economist, and he really likes it.

I don't know what your budget is but a pair of Gucci Shoes goes a long way. Preferably beige or white, something he can wear around the office. Slip on's please!
