I'm trying to plan my life here, I know, it sounds ridiculous. I need to know what my husbands and I yearly income would need to be to raise two kids in Texas in the area of Austin and the hill country. I need to know what kind of job I should be looking for now and what my husband will need to do so that we can comfortable raise two children in the next 5 or six years. Thank you very much!

I would like to own our own house and two vehicles (Nothing extravegant, average). I dont have a need for fashion. I shop at Wal-Mart and Outlet stores for my clothes and I look damn good! I never wawnt to have to worry about paying the bills and feeding my children.

Alot of it depends on the lifestyle you live. Do you require a large 2 story house, designer clothes and a new car, or are you okay living in a modular home? I lived in Texas all my life until I moved up north. I didnt realize just how much cheaper the cost of living is down there. Some people can live comfortably on $50,000 a year and some require double that. It depends on your level of maintenance.
