Welcome back Caroline. I missed u on YA. :))
2 things:
Being vulnerable and totally open with a girl I was seeing a few years back. She wouldn't let me hide anything & she kept compassionately telling me to open all of myself to her. Having nothing to hide and having my soul exposed was terrifying but ultimately liberating cuz i realized I'm ok after all. That was her gift to me. She wanted me to see myself as she saw me.
Bungee jumping at 350 feet high. I had a bungee cord tied around my ankles and I was so scared I was literally shaking! The instructor guy must have been a sadist cuz he was laughing at my shaking knees and then laughed again when i said take me down. He told me "Jump or else!" So head first i dived trusting this big rubberband to not let me hit the ground.........and I learned never to bungee jump with a pocket full of change. This was also the most stupidest thing I've ever done.

I went to college, despite the fact that no one in my family had ever even seen a college. In those days, there were no organizations to help first-generation students.
Somehow, I managed to stumble along until I caught on to the system. I finished my doctorate degree in 1972, have written several college textbooks, and served as president of the state-wide organization that represents people in my field.
If you've ever considered going to college but haven't, I can assure you that the experience will change your life for the better. Just do it.

I threw a Big Gulp sized soda at a car that was speeding through a residential area during a block party. One of my neighbors said "what are you going to do if he turns around and comes back? What if he has a gun?" By then I was dialing the police on my cell phone. *L*

Snow tubing.
Don't laugh. Okay, laugh if you want. But I have never been so scared in my life, yet I forced myself to go down the slope (in my eyes, mountain) two more times to try to get over the fear.
My new motto is "It's like snow tubing"...meaning if I can do that, I can do anything!
