Marijuana wont HELP with cancer or AIDS. It helps a person cope with the disease better. How? The most review of the medical value of pot, by the Institute of Medicine, found that marijuana helps cancer and AIDS patients overcome intense nausea, the severe bone pain of cancer, and the wasting of AIDS and advanced cancer patients. For 20 percent of patients, legal medicines do not help their nausea, and withholding pot is inhumane and cruel.

Actually yes.....they prescribe medicinal marijuana for many diseases such as cancer, multiple sclerosis etc. My ex had cancer and they prescribed marijuana for him, the reason they did so is that is helps to ease pain and make the person hungry while going through chemotherapy. While he was going through chemo, he had absolutely no appetite, so this would help him. So to answer your question, yes there are many ways that marijuana can help a person with a disease.

Marijuana, does nothing regarding helping (curing) these diseases. But it may help with certain symptoms, such as pain or nausea.

Also, both of these diseases (or I should say the medications for these diseases), can cause a person to loose their appetite. Marijuana is know for increasing ones appetite.
