Anyone who has played sports knows you do not try to turn a player into what he isn't. In stead, you harness his best abilities for the better of the team. When a player is forced to play an unnatural position, he tends to fail at it, and hinders the team's success in the process.

Why can't men and women understand each other's differences rather than try to change or deny them? Why can't we harness them and use them for the benefit of one another and society?

i agree but sometimes there's just some people that are always complaining for no reasons or being a pain in the **** that gets under my skin. i usually just ignore them and stay away but sometimes it's difficult to just try to understand someone.

Harnessing the relationship is really the right thing to do not changing or finding another. Like eating food, we do not change the basic food items but we find a way to cook them in new and atttractive way. A man or a woman can enhance a relationship by trying to discover new and attractive ways without the thought of looking for someone else. A husband and wife can endure a relationship when each of them always bring new surprises to each other. The secret is being creative to make every encounter a "first time" experience.

Some differences are a matter of nurture and should be challenged. Others are a matter of nature and should not be challenged. To this latter group your suggestion would more readily apply. Although I'm still studying this subject this year, In the end I believe I'll support efforts toward making things equal in certain contexts and complementary in others. I'm not an advocate of the feminist minority, which is pushing for androgyny in all areas, nor am I an advocate of the paternalist minority, which ignores important areas in which equality still must be fought for.

the expectation for men to have the same kinds of emotional capacities and nurturing behaviors as women is a fairly new concept for men. They weren't always expected to be that way; they were the hunters and gatherers. They weren't built that way. So they have to learn. Women have a natural nurturing/emotional element that was/is necessary in the rearing of children.
In my opinion, it truly is a biological difference, and a result as the evolution of humankind.

Changes is for the better. Suggestions should be taken as constructive and for improvement. It should not be a battle of the sexes..it should be about respect for each other that would lead to a gender fair and non violent life
