People are nasty because:
1) they can be, or have been allowed to get away with it
2) it makes them feel good to make someone else feel bad
3) sometimes a combination of #1 and #2

Because there are so many horrible lazy parents who don't bother to put any effort into raising their kids. "Here, I'll just give you a video game and a case of candy bars, go have fun."
Plus, it seems there are a lot of parents who reward nasty behavior by bribing their kids with a treat to stop acting up. It makes me sick.
Finally, we've become an anti-punishment society. I believe if a kid acts up he/she should be handcuffed to a pipe in a dark basement. The punishments should become more sinister. If they mouth off at their parents when they're teenagers, they should be sent to juvenile hall. Also, kids in elementary school who don't pay attention in class and get bad grades should be sent to hard labor camps to give them an idea of what they have to look forward to if they don't shape up.
If kids were made to suffer more, they'd appreciate the good things in life and grow up to be much nicer people.

hello.....there are so many great people out there, so if some nasty people....wouldn't hurt....care about the good ones not the bad....forget them as they have forgotten the goodness and remember the good ones as they have remembered goodness.....have a nice day...

Because the world is full of hateful, spiteful, angry, ignorant people. Sad, but true...
