He used to be real, a long time ago but when he was real he only brought apples and oranges and coal if your bad. Now a days your parents buy all the gifts for you and Santa Clause is just an old story

I don't recall my parents ever telling us that Santa was real. It was just another fairy story to us. Yet, as I grew older I noticed that my grandma refused invitations to our family Christmas celebrations. When I asked my Mom why, she simply said that it was 'against her religion'.

I then reflected on the fact that much more attention was always given 'Santa' than Christ Jesus ... ... ...

The first of these is Saint Nicholas of Myra, a 4th century AD Christian bishop of Myra in Lycia, a province of Byzantine Anatolia, now in Turkey. Nicholas was famous for his generous gifts to the poor, in particular presenting the three impoverished daughters of a pious Christian with dowries so that they would not have to become prostitutes. He was born at Patara, province of Lycia, Asia Minor. He was very religious from an early age and devoted his life entirely to Christianity. In Europe (more precisely the Netherlands, Belgium, Austria and Germany) he is still portrayed as a bearded bishop in canonical robes. The relics of St. Nicholas were transported to Bari in southern Italy by some enterprising Italian merchants; a basilica was constructed in 1087 to house them and the area became a pilgrimage site for the devout. Saint Nicholas became revered by many as the patron saint of seamen, merchants, archers, children, prostitutes, pharmacists, lawyers, pawnbrokers, prisoners, the city of Amsterdam and of Russia. In Greece, Saint Nicholas is sometimes substituted for Saint Basil (Agios Vasilis in Greek), a 4th century AD bishop from Caesarea. Also, a few villages in West Flanders, Belgium, celebrate a near identical figure, Sint-Maarten (Saint Martin of Tours).[1]

Santa as in the American version is not real. Their once was a St.Nick, but otherwise the Santa that kids are told to believe in is false. I still think its wrong to lie to the children.

Yes MJ 3000, there is a Santa Clause... If you beleive in Santa and for as long as you beleive in Santa he will continue to bring you gifts forever... These days my gifts are not so much toys, but to me they are priceless. My gifts are watching my children open their gifts.. Watching my wife as she prepares for the Holidays.. Compleating a thousand tasks a minuet, she never forgets anyone. seeing the love shared between family members.. Seeing family members that have moved far away.. etc.. my list goes on forever and every one is a holiday gift brought to me by Santa..

Yes. There was a man named St. Nicholas, and he was real. Santa is a spinoff of him. But Santa Claus is not real. He's fake. Your parents are pretending to be him.

Santa is believing. Believing is about more than believing in santa, its about believing in christmas, enjoying the holidays and spending time with your family that you love so much. It does not matter if santa claus is real or fake, its the enjoyment you get at christmas time that you will remember the rest of your life.
