i've found that if your team is skilled enough, most gimmick type plays will work. you've gotta mix in regular plays to keep the defense on it's heels.

No flag football is nothing like that. Flag football u don't tackle or hurt your opponet. Everyone will wear flags around their waist and when the ball is passed to a person and they're running with it you try to take the flag off their belt. Don't worry no guys will sit on you. There's nothing to it when u get the ball u run and try ur best not to let anyone take your flags. So don't worry just play and have fun.

Several things that many teams don't use have worked well. We always concentrated on defense, and teams didn't know what to do. The fastest guy always rushed the QB. Since real blocking isn't allowed, you can get to him fast. Always make him run so that he has to throw across his body. Most guys will make the throw even though it is risky. Also, have a guy playing free safety pretty deep. QB's in most leagues like to throw deep, and you can pick many off.
On offense, we ran alot of screen passes to plink the ball down the field. Deep passes are pretty, but unless you have a great arm at QB, they get picked off too much.

to me, i think the short passing game works alot. when the short passing is perfected the defense will try to stop it and leave the middle of the field open for a big play. another thing that works, if you have a pass rushing defense, is the draw play up the middle. sometimes you can run a slot reverse and suprise the defense a little. but to me i think the biggest thing to a great offense in flag football is, having a running quarterback. being able to get outside of the pocket and make things happen.

throwback screens are effective if qb has strong arm and great blocking. flats and flares are great if you have quick receivers. outside plays work only on reverses and weakside options.

mis-direction plays work well, and then when the Defense starts keying in on those, fake it as a mis-direction and run a normal play
