Ok i have this major fear of sharks thatstarted when i was around 4, i think what happened is that i just saw someone talking on the news about a little boy who was killed by a shark, and was terrified to go in the water ever since. (seriously my parents have a picture of my mom trying to put me in the shallows and i'm twisted around her and my face is red and screwed up with screaming and crying.... actually it's kind of a funny picture) Anyway, I KNOW that they don't usually attack unless they are very hungry or they spell blood, and i KNOW that they don't usually come up to the beach so you aren't in danger unless you go out really far torwards their territory, but IT DOESN'T MATTER i still freak out, if i can't see what's under the surface i can't stay in the water and yet every time i try to explain this to someone and tell them that i know all of this they just repeat all the stuff that i just told them that i knew. were they even listening?

I'm scared of sharks too. But I'm only scared of what damage they can cause you. Not the sharks themselves. If you don't do anything that would attract a shark and stay in large groupls when you go swimming in the ocean you should be fine. don't wear any jewlery! the shine attracts them! they think that it will be fish cause of their scales! so i you do that then you should be fine!

They would probably like to be able to help you, but if you ask the same question you'll keep getting the same answer.
You might try starting over and asking if anyone knows a way of overcoming this fear? Maybe you'll get some new ideas that way.
Don't give up. Tell yourself you can do it, and eventually you'll find a way. Fear is real, so don't put yourself down for it either.
good luck!

You are more likely to be killed in a car accident than by a shark.

You are more likely to die choking on food then you are from a shark bite.

Why are you that afraid of dying? Have you been a bad person?

You are sexually inhibited. Either that or you really will be eaten by a shark and it's a premonition.
