Most celebrities just marry for publicity purposes,a lot of them to satisfy their egos,so why not have licenses that will expire in a couple of years,and in some cases for the real prima donnas the license should be for a few months,this way the news media wouldn't make a big thing when ever one of them splits up

haha. but some do stay with their spouse. like Mel Gibbson... he has 7 children from one woman and they are still married.. long relationship.. id say its almost...normal...haha

It isn't a great idea. Marriage licenses have expiration dates: 30 days. Marriage certificates (the document you get after getting married) do not. Celebrities aren't the only ones that don't take marriage seriously enough. They are just the ones that have their foolish mistakes broadcasted for the world to see and the money to "undo" the foolish mistake.

No, why should you have to renew your marriage? The reason why you have to renew your license is to keep tabs on drivers. Driving can be a dangerous thing and that's why your license needs to be renewed. But a marriage license shouldn't have to be renewed, no.

No. I think celebrity marriages are important to discredit the whole "marriage is sacred" nonsense. They do a great job, and the divorces are fun to watch.
