Wera (correctly spelled güera) means blonde, and it's usually used a lot as a nickname for blonde or light skin. Güero is the male version. Also this is slang from Mexico, so someone from a different country may not understand it.

Guera is the spanish word roughly for blonde, primarily in mexico. It is pronounced "wera". My Spanish teacher said it can be a bit derogatory and offensive when used with strangers, kind of like whistling at a woman walking by

It's not wera... it's Güera. It is someone that is lighter colored skin than what the majority has. May also refer to someone with lighter colored hair or lighter eyes. Not the dark hair, dark eyed, dark skin normal stuff.

It means a very strange and bizarre individual. Usually light colored skin and hair, blonde perhaps. There is nothing bad or insulting about it, its just a term of endearment for a less than intelligent...bimbo a loveable, silly bimbette.

I was riding in a taxicab this morning and there was a female dispatcher on the two-way radio. She was dispatching the cabs to various addresses and the usual dispatch chatter was going on. Suddenly, the dispatcher asked?... Michael Hunt, are you out there... Mike? Do you read me?... Mike Hunt, Mike Hunt... Come in, ... Come In... Come in Mike Hunt. I don't know why this seems so funny to me- it was just a cab ride.
I couldn't stop laughing. I think something shot out of my nose!
