in a perfect world, everyone should be able to live as they choose. however you'll be putting yourself in danger if you can't pass for female even more than nellie boys. it'll be dangerous to you and those around you, so please be careful.......... best guess provincetown mass. it's 60% gay so at least you'd have safety in numbers.............good luck!!!!!

Major metropolitan areas? Try Philadelphia, I see obvious crossdressers here all the time. Also P-Town in Massachusetts is very accepting of all things LGBT. I would guess San Fransisco, as well, although I've never been there.

San Francisco or Brazil are best bets. Las Vegas does have transvestite bars where you don't need to "pass". And since there are so many tourist who to know you "live" there. Hawaii has a pretty good transvestite acceptance as well. Same with parts of Miami. Most places that have a huge influx of out-of-state retirees are pretty good options.

In any large diverse metropolis-crossdressing is not a gay issue or transexual as far as I know, but it is best in a large city where they see it all.
