I sure do. I have seen some incredible acts of kindness at the hands of bikers that look like mass murderers, and low-down sidewinding double-dealing treachery out of people that look like choir boys. You go, girl! Keep looking at the heart, and don't worry about anyone who doesn't have the good sense to follow your example.

Definitely- People should not be judged on what they wear- they should be judged on character and personality- i am just me, nobody else, I dont follow a fashion trend- if I wanna wear jeans, I'll wear goddamn jeans! If i wanna wear a neckwarmer even though its 30C outside, so people get scared of me, fine! I'll do that! (but I dont do that, its just an example). The worst is when somebody comes up to me an calls me a dirty mosher, jus cos im wearing jeans at the time!!! how the hell does that work! but then again, its in the human psyche to want to belong to a group- but I dont think groups should be decided on what people wear, or what they talk like, you know? it is deeply saddening when stereotypes walk around and label people- racism is the same, as well- some people I know see someone from india and automatically make remarks about illegal immigrants and theyre only here to scavenge off the benefits system! that is only a small minority, and most of the time, its people who were BORN in this Britain, and are white as well! Dont automatically assume that just because someone is different does not mean they are bad, or lazy, you know what im saying? anyone agree?

as I heard before, labels r 4 soup cans. hope that helps. If not, hope it made you laugh.
I don't mind people calling me a goth, freak, vamp. What really p*sses me off is when people say I'm a poseur or a wannabe. I don't want to be anything. I am anything I want to be.
F*CK!!!!!! Now I'm getting off subject.
What I'm trying to say is, who *ucking cares?
well obviously you. lol. But don't let it get you down. They aren't any better.
Being labelled isn't all that bad though. Atlest you know where you stand and what people think of you. I can be a good thing also.
Well, what do I know? I'm a blood sucking goth freak. aka, SPIKE (because of my spiked mohawk).
Yes I am a girl with a mohawk.

Its not about being labled. Its about the first impression that you give to people, and those impressions stick. If you wear clothes that a goth would wear, but dont consider yourself as one, what do you think people will think? Their impression of you will be that your a goth. Sometimes you can tell a lot about a person by the things they wear. If you are wearing black, old clothes, that dont fit you well, the impression is that you dont care about your appearance and are underconfident. If you wear nice clothes that suit you, and compliment you people will see you as someone who feels good about themselves, giving off a much better impression.
I believe its not just about what you wear, but how you wear it. If you dont want to be labelled as a goth, dont dress like one! Put some thought into what you wear, and how you want people to see you.

To have being labelled could be because of an act, atitude, appearance, behaviour, character or condition. so it could be encouraging or discouraging. if usual accepted, if not ignored. Most of the time it is not presecive because things can change. Time will tell.
So the best thing to do is know your goals and work toward it and leave what is not productive and ignore their words if it is being used as an insult. TIME WILL TELL.
To your questions your apperances at time matters, if a particular dress code is tag to a particular group of people for there act or behaviour u can be judged as one of them, so if your character is not like that dress normally.

Some times labels can help, if you are diagnosed with something then it can help others to identify your needs more quickly. also label can help you feel like you belong, less isolated ..... if there wasn't a 'gay' label then these questions that are specific to the gay community would be difficult to find. but labels can also be used to do harm and form negative stereotypes. there are also people that do not know what labels they belong to and this can be very upsetting. all in all i think labels are good if they are used to identify and not to assume and judge, but like everything else, they get abused.

No. It's natural to find something distinguishing about a person in order to remember them apart from everyone else. When dealing with clothes, most people wear what they like, so it can be used. If I'm wearing a Miami Heat shirt, it's because I like the team. Go ahead and call me a fan. I don't care.

yes...i hate getting labeled simply because im of the black race...
im far from the color black and if u took one look at me you would have a hard time trying to figure out what I am..(what can i say my other heritages came out in me)....and yet because some
a double s hole sees the color of my skin...i become labeled as ignorant, or poor, or any number of negative things.....its never said out loud, but ACTIONS DO SPEAK LOUDER THAN WORDS...
on another note goths do scare me..but only because I fear what I do not understand..
nothing personal just stating how I feel.......so you see I am a hypocrite ..I hate being labeled but I myself label all the time..
(sigh) I am an imperfect human just like all the rest of you lowly creatures out here...but at least I can be HONEST with myself....

individually i do no longer think of everyone hates been labelled, it relies upon on what they are labelled as. hundreds of "scene" young ones right here declare they are scene and a few "emo" young ones declare they are emo. they are labelling themselves and seem to savor it haha. yet yeah, i do no longer somewhat like been labelled. If there is a few thing i'm then i'm going to admit it haha. i do no longer want somebody to declare what i'm approximately and each little thing.

It is pretty lazy but its human nature. I am an old lady now but when I was young I was a punk and people didnt want to sit next to me on the bus!
I discovered how easily people fall into the trap of shoving labels on people it saves them the trouble of having to make an informed decision.
Ho hum.
