It depends.

If there is a bubble of fluid trapped between your baby's head and your cervix, then it will be kind of like a gush and then may be followed by a trickle. Otherwise it will be more like a slow leak, kind of like you peed yourself.

You may also notice an increase in pelvic pressure after your water breaks and if you were having contractions, they will feel more intense.

I remember when my water broke with my lil girl arriving, I was already in the hospital bed and the nurse just checked me. She was about to let me go home. She goes to turn and walk away from me then all of a sudden I felt like I was peeing and had no control over it. So I was like hey, Im peeing over here. She comes back to check me and she said you aint going no where , were gonna have this baby. So to answer you question, It's very much like peeing and having no control in stopping it. It doesn't hurt at all.

Everyone says it's like you peed However I did not get a sensation like my bladder was emptying. I just had a sudden gush of fluid and then it would just keep gushing every few minutes. When it happens you will know , it is an unmistakable feeling.

I was already in labor before my water broke. I was in a birthing pool, so I didn't feel the water actually come out. It was a weird feeling though, it felt like when the baby would kick, only it was kind of an, "Eeew, that felt gross, what the heck just happened?" kind of kick.

It's not like what you see in the movies.
Most of the time it's a trickle, and like everyone else said, like you're peeing yourself. I thought I'd peed myself when my waters broke. Some women don't even know their waters have broken, the trickle is so fine. If you have any excess moisture and you're not sure, see your doctor (better safe than caught short!)

It doesn't feel like anything but water falls to the floor. There is no sensation other than wetness randomly expelled from the vagina. Have a great day.

Like your peeing yourself. Often the water just starts to leak and women often think that their water bag has broken. If it breaks, there is SOOO much water, its amazing. Both feel like pee flowing though.

It doesn't hurt at all! I felt a little pop kind of like a little balloon and then I looked like I had just peed all over myself. At that point you are so excited you don't care what you look like. Good luck and all the best to you and your baby.

I had gone to go the the bathroom (thank god!! No mess) and it felt like a big gush, that I had no control over. Its like peeing yourself without being able to stop
