No, Bush has been one of the most divisive presidents in US history, and no other president has been as 'conservative' since Coolidge. I use parenthesis around conservative because many conservatives do not feel as if Bush is conservative, but crazy. He's far off to the right and makes many Goldwater conservatives cringe at where he's leading the country. The fact that Bush's approval rating speaks to this. Essentially, his performance has made only 1 out of 3 people happy in the country. And if every one who did not approve of Bush was liberal, then there'd be 66% of us that subscribe to a leftist philosophy.
As far as being anti-American, it would be best to check your closet for any bombs or explosives. If you are planning on blowing something up in the name of Christianity or Islam, you are un-American. What is American is based upon the expression of opinions and beliefs without trampling on someone else’s liberties. Shutting up and following the flock are examples of totalitarian submission, not values that we have fought world wars for. Speak and be loud if you have something to say with the pride and vigor we, the people of the United States, are dutifully required to do. Remember, voting is more than a privilege to vote. This is a democracy and it is your duty to voice your opinion.

As far as I'm aware, there are only two parties in the US, Democrats and Republicans. So Liberal isn't a choice. If you're critical of the Bush administration, that doesn't automatically make you anything, except a critic of the Bush administration. It certainly doesn't make you anti-American, because being able to criticize your government is very much an American characteristic, and one of the freedoms of which Americans are very proud.
But you can seriously express your displeasure when it comes time to vote.

depends on what you are critical on. You can be critial of the man but I don't think you can be critical of the office...and there is a difference. I'm an Independent and I see both parties as pretty corrupt. It's like the shell game only there is no pea underneath. I think Bush did good on the tax cuts and the revenue is flowing in if you look at the numbers... but on pretty much everything else.... he's the liberals best friend. Except the embryonic research.
So I would say to you "no" if you are critical of the Bush admin. it doesn't make you something that you feel you are not.

It doesn't make you either. Part of being an american is having the right to express yourself and to disagree with the government. However, that doesn't mean its ok to break laws and be an anarchist. Our borders are alwyas open to people who wish to leave if you don't like us, but thats besides the point.
A liberal, literally, means a person who believes reform and change is good. Conservatives want things to stay the same. People often get this confused with liberals as Democrats and Conservatives as Republicans. Bush is kinda liberal in hi spolicies since he increases budget spending.
So, you are an American, like the commercial of old with immigrants in it saying "I am an American" and you aren't necessarily a liberal only because you criticize bush.

That doesn't neccessarily make you a liberal. As long as your criticism is properly researched and based on facts and not based how your friends or the leftist media feels about him and you think you should echo along with the chorus. As long as your critisism is fair and balanced and unemotional you're OK. As long as YOU form your own opinions and don't simply accept the tired same old Democratic rhetoric intended only to make the President look bad so the Dems can win a few political seats and not really progress the country as a whole and help the world situation, you're on the right track. Don't worry about labels. Think about the real issues and forget about the emotionally driven irrational propoganda. I challenge you to listen to Rush Limbaugh or Sean Hannity and really listen to what they are saying and forget what your friends might say or think if they found out you were listening to them. Compare one side to the other and really find out what the other side had so say then see if your original critisism holds up like you thought it did when you started.

No, not at all. You're a liberal if the rest of your views include (but are not limited to):
- higher taxes
- more welfare
- more spending on education/administration
- less spending on military
- recognizing international law as higher than the Constitution
- "loose" interpretation of the Constitution
- "acceptance" of every deviant out there
- support for convicted criminals and pedophiles since it isn't their fault, it is society's fault
- the idea that it takes a village to raise a child instead of two stable, disciplinary adults
You get it? Basically you're a liberal if you blame "society" for the ills of everything and think that the only way to "fix" it is to take more of everyone's (except your own) money.

No. It makes you INTELLIGENT.
How anyone can support a President who has done more to DIVIDE this country in a way we have not seen the Civil War, raped the Constitution he had sworn to protect ( thus threatening our First, Fourth, Fifth, Sixth, Eighth, and Fourteenth Amendment rights), unconstitutionally injected (a specific) religion into our politics ( to brainwash a constituency), misused funds and America's military to wage a (personal) war based on lies, deception, and falsly named, thus costing the lives of more than 2500 of our own, and 100's of thousands of Iraqis, repeatedly broke the law spying on American citizens, and has been quoted as saying that the Constitution is "just a goddamned piece of paper" is way beyond me.
For the record, Clinton also had a spying-on-citizens program.
People need to WAKE UP to the fact that it's no longer Republicans VS Demecrats, but instead US vs THEM! The scariest terrorists we need to fear are those in WASHINGTON.
"It is the leaders of the country who determine the policy and it is always a simple matter to drag the people along, whether it is a democracy, or a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship. Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the peacemakers for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same in any country."

No...it means you're thinking about things critically. Normal, intelligent people do that. You can't agree with everything a person does...even the politicians you do like will screw up at times. Some more than others.

If you are against Bush's stand on Partial-Birth abortion? Yes you are Liberal. That's not anti-American necessarily. It's IMMORAL I think, though. Yes, liberal IS not liking Bush policies. Kerry knows, and so does darlin Hillary!
Anti-American, I think, would be not supporting the Troops in Afghanistan and Iraq! They are there to scramble terrorists.

Being able to be critical about the administration is what being an American is all about ... it doesn't necessarily make you a liberal either.
