I know people are sick of this issue, but this is case in point:

"You will realise it was not Materazzi who got the attention of the referee," said Lippi. "It was the fourth and fifth officials looking at the video at the edge of the pitch. We did not do anything. They saw it and they called the attention of the referee." ( the ITALIAN coach)

"The referee saw nothing, the assistant referee saw nothing and then we have the fourth official saying to the referee what happened," Domenech said. ( the FRENCH coach)

These people were on the sidelines and saw what happened, but FIFA denies that they used video to give the red card. What do you think?

FIFA is definitely corrupt.
In the past, they have been so corrupt that the current president vowed to change it.

Then again, with so many money involved I doubt they can get to the root of the problem.

When an entire country is hosting the event, it's as big as Olypmic itself.

To let an official such as Medina Cantalejo as a 4tgh man (the same man who allowed the penalty against Australia) and after 15 minutes Medina Cantalejo woke up and told the referee what happened, then FIFA IS CORRUPT and the Italians are game fixers (the same that happened with the Frings saga, where they knew thath Frings was the man to fear and they made FIFA see the accident with their replays, the same thing with Czech republic, with the sending off. If you are happy on how the Italians have won the World Cup, then you are cheaters like them

The whole world saw Zidane headbutt Materazzi on TV and that's a red card foul. If the referee hadn't punished him just because he didn't see him, it would have been worse. It would have been like encouranging all players to resort to violent behavior on the pitch, as long as the referee isn't looking at them. And that's unacceptable and totally unsportsmanlike.

Plus, where did you get that information? It may be a French manipulation to have the match replayed ;-)

The red card to Zidane was unjustified. FIFA should have reviewed the video more careful prior to make that decision to give Zidane the red card. Zidane should not get kick out of the game because of the opponent's fault. To me Zidane is a gentleman with sportsmanship in soccer. He wouldn't do anything that crazy without a major caused to ruin his reputation. Again, this world cup was ruin by quite a few unfitted referees. They called and gave out way too many cards. We hope that FIFA will reconsider for a better world cup in 4 years. Viva Soccer.

How about Buffon the clown who made all the gestures to say watch the video...
How about Materazzi who made the gesture with his hand meaning it'k ok, we are on target....
How about the scandal in that country where they are buying the refs to get what they want...
How about....
The Zidane thing was meant to be,planned way in advance in case the win seemed too hard to get?
How about that extra defensive play of Italy for 3/4 of the game for a team that had scored so many in the previous games?
C'mon!

yes! FIFA was disonest at least in a matter like that the two of them should have been sent off since not even any of the present officials saw the issue. The lines man whom did not clearly see the incident had now ordered a red card for Zizou alone. Not fair you know/

Fifa is very evil Materazzi should be suspended and i dont think zidane wouldnt do such an unprofessional behaviour without any reasons.By the way Sepp Blatter suc*s.The suspensions given to TURKEY is unfair.Blatter always protects his country.FIFA need another man instead of him

i agree with you
the referee saw nothin of it
and he shouldnt give out cards unless he is absolutly sure
zidane didnt do it for the sake of doing it
zidane did it for his dignity
nothin s important thn dignity...no matter what stupid tournament
the camera got only zidane hitting materazzi
but they didnt get materrazi pullin zizou's shirt and talkin to him in an agnorant way..insultin him
i think fifa was suppose to give zidan his right infront of the whole world ..zidane already said he was sorry while materrazi i think didnt appologize officially...

is dishonest... they tried to not let Italy win... in fact the action wasn't stopped immediately,Materazzi stayed there for some minutes...
than, at the awarding of prize, there wasn't the President of the FIFA, but another one person..that never happens... is a scandal...
