I'd love to whine and complain with you! I'm almost 39 weeks and it seems like this baby is never coming. I have a history of going overdue and being induced. The doctor says no progress. Well that was a week ago...I have another visit today. If the baby hasn't even dropped yet (she's decided to sit in me sideways), then I might just beg to be induced. There is no part of my body that doesn't look huge and puffy...especially my feet and hands! And I have a 3 year old and 1 1/2 year old who are going just as crazy as me, since I don't feel like going out much. It's too hot to do anything but lay in front of the fan (no A/C) and eat popsicles. Now my back is killing me on top of everything. I barely get any sleep at night. And my husband just started a new job yesterday, where he is an hour away and there's no way for me to get ahold of him if I do go into labor. I could go on and on. But I'm grateful to know that it will all be over soon and I'm lucky to be healthy. And also that I am able to have such beautiful and healthy babies...that so many other people have such a hard time doing.

I swelled up like a balloon.. lol. The last month my ankles disappeared. I tried to walk a little every day, and then elevate my legs when sitting. That helped some. Also - drink lots of water and eat some watermelon. Watermelon is a natural diuretic - helps with water retention.

Wear comfy shoes and just go with it! Keep going to your regular checkups and don't worry - it will be over soon. You will have a gorgeous little baby to love on and you will hardly remember how puffy you were.

Good luck :)

Okay well I'll join in the rant. Im 32 weeks. Im not swelling (yet), but Im having consistent back pain alternating between upper and lower back. Im guessing it depends on how he is situated. I also just started noticing the nastiest stretch marks on my hips and now moving to my stomach. Some dark stretch marks or veins are also appearing on the back of my leg above my calf. Its depressing because Ive only gained 12 lbs so far. Not like I put on a lot of weight. Oh well only about 8 weeks to go and it'll all be worth it. Thats what they tell me.

Don't even worry about being a fat cow YOU HAVE A BABY IN THERE. Just realize it is the hormones that is making you like this. I guess i am a guy and don't know much about it, but i would guess hormones is making you down. But you are fine don't worry about it you are almost done with it one more month and a half. not bad at all compared to what you have been through so far. right?

I totally feel you I am not that far along yet, ( 4.5 Months) but geez noone tells you all the crummy parts like the fact your boobs look great because they have doubled in size but heaven forbid your husband try and touch them becuase they hurt like you justgot sucker punched in the chest. Not to mention the gas, nausea, bloating, fatigue, stretch marks, headaches back pains and all that lays in between. I know you get a great joy from your pregnancy but dang it's a long road to get there!! Shew I feel better now thanks!

It happens to all of us. You feel fat, you can't sleep, you have to go to the bathroom all the time. I know exactly what you mean.

Like you said you are in the home stretch, hang in there. It will all be over soon and your new baby will be here. Keep smiling and happy parenting.

I'm sorry you feel so bad. Look to the future when you get to hold your baby for a few days and then get your butt off the couch and dance and frolic and everything is normal again...aaahhh what bliss.
