i don't know whether an earwig in your ear constiutes a neighbour if it does it all depends on what time all this whistling goes on until, he's probably just enjoying doing the washing up try to be a bit more understanding.

It's important to say that tinnitus is a symptom and not a disease. Some people will have tinnitus because their Cochlea is damaged. And in a few, it could be caused due to hearing loss. But of course, the most common cause of tinnitus is exposure to loud noises. The noise can be a sudden burst, or it could be a constant banging that hits the ear drum and travels inside.
A good guide you can read about tinnitus and some good natural remedies can be found here: http://tinnitus.toptips.org

As long as you enjoy the tune and/or washing up, sounds like no prognosis is necessary. Of course, if it is whistling Yanni, I would have my whole ear removed. Good luck with all THAT.

If you can hear something in your ear, washing up, whistling, then you need to go to a doctor who can either wash out your ear or refer you to a psychiatrist or both.

If it washes up, why are you complaining? It's a clean earwig.
I think you've found a friend!
