I hated the notebook. I prefer action movies and suspense. I only go when my mom drags me to them.

I liked the Notebook and didn't like the Devil Wears Prada, which is not a romance but a materialistic view of fashion and all that high dollar bling bling crap. Women are very affectionate creatures, we like to see what might be or what is in our hearts. Why do pimps only like movies like ATL, Hustle and Flow, and quoting 2-Pac lyrics all day long?

Amen! The Notebook was predictable and corny. Thank goodness I borrowed it from the library and I did not spend money on it. (However that was 2 hours of my life I will never get back)
And not all romantic movies fall into the cow poop category. I am addicted to Jane Austen adaptations and all sorts of Bollywood movies. Why? I guess that what women fantasize about, we were brainwashed as girls that some day "my prince will come".
I always liked the Barbershop movies (Beautyshop was 2 hours of my life wasted as well) but of course there is the Michael Ealy factor to consider...
MIB, LOTR, Blockparty, Enigma, Office Space are non-chick-flick fare but are thoroughly enjoyable, re-watchable movies.

I don't know about other women,but my favorite movie is Pulp Fiction and my second favorite would be The Godfather,all my favorite movies are dark comedys or drama,like I love all of Spike Lee except for Bamboozled,I like all action movies except for Martial arts.Trust me you can not speak for all women just like I would never attempt to say Why can't Black men spell?That would be called a stereotype which could be racist,sexist and so on!!!!

The Notebook is one of my fav movies, it's a romance that has lasted threw thick and thin. Not to much of that now days..I guess it makes me feel like I can have that one day. I'm a hopeless romantic but I can be just as ghetto as the next person..lol..

Those movies are intelligent and are not only extremely entertaining but also make you think. Guys like action, excuse me, Only like action and that sort of stuff. Women want to think about what they are seeing sometimes.
