Hi - I just a had tummy tuck last week in CT and it was just under $9000....but my doctor set me up with financing through CAPITAL ONE HEALTH CARE FINANCE. I am paying $181 a month with a low fixed rate.

Just type in "capitalonehealthcarefinance" .com and check out if they are available in your state.

If you are able to go forward with it, and want some info about the recovery, let me know...or check out some of my other posts for other people1

Hope this helps!

Actually there is two things you can do

1 if your doctor feels the excess skin is causing you pain or is becoming unsafe/healthy he can recommend to the insurance company to have the surgery. It does not mean they will approve it but his recommendation will be there.
2. you can have a resident do it, kinda like a teaching hospital where the students are learning to do procedures and that way they charge you less. I do not know how comfortable you feel regarding this but it is an alternative. I do not know how to locate these programs in your area so you may have to do some research.

First you need to have your doctor write a script saying that this procedure is medically necessary and your regular medical ins will cover it. but if your Dr will not write the script, you will be on your own and have to pay the 10k.
