i work in a restaurant that requires us wear oxford white shirts. I seem to have been buying new ones all the time because they get stained. I've tried bleach and stain removers, maybe I'm just not using the right one.

I know this may seem absurdly simple, but try using ordinary dish soap (not the kind for the dishwasher, the fill your sink with bubbles stuff). Use it as you would a stain remover--put it on and let it set until you're going to wash it...the detergent breaks up the grease and is great for sauce stains too.

However, this may not work on shirts that you've already washed a few times...

I work for a manufacturing plant and sometimes when I go out in production I get a grease smear on my clothing. If the fabric is white I have used a powder scrubber like Ajax or Comet w/Bleach and and gently scrub it with a toothbrush and put in the washing machine like normal. So far, I've had good luck.

Rub liquid soap into the stain, then wash. You may have to repeat that. The sooner after getting the stain the better it works.
Don;t dry it until you see its gone. If you already washed and dried it, you may have set the stain in permanently

also fantastic and 409 and oxiclean are good
remember to get the stain out before you put the shirt in the dryer or the stain may set

on my husbands white chef coats, I use dawn dis soap and let it set for a while, then wash it out with VERY HOT water and bleach plus a good soap. I usualy don't have much problems. On light stains, I use spray-n-wash and just let it set till it is almost dry then wash in the hot water and bleach...
Good Luck

If all else fails...
Use Spray Oven Cleaners
Spray directly on spot, leave for a short while, then rinse off and wash normally...
Repeat if necessary, but it isn't often...
