How do I get noticed on my acting?

Have you done any acting before? Do you have an agent? Have you gone to acting school. Who have you studied under? What plays have you been associated with? These are just a handful of questions that you will be asked but everyone involved in the business. You MUST!!! be represented by an agent first. Before you do anything you must prove to an agent that you are worthy of representation. I'm a screenwriter and I see it every day. There is great undiscovered talent out there but the right people will never know unless they follow this type of format. Good Luck!

It's a tough business and you have to be really smart about it or you could end up in a really bad career (porn, B movies) for the rest of your acting life.
The best thing you can do is audition as much as possible for plays or film.
If pursuing film, you might want to read the tips for actors on the Screen Actors Guild website. http://www.sag.org/sagWebApp/index.jsp.

Look in your local paper and get to know other actors in your area to see if any film comanies need extras or walk ons. This will help you build an acting resume.
You should also have some professional 8x10 and 3x5 headshots with your contact info on them so you can let future directors/casting agents have something to remember you by.

This is a TOUGH business. If you're wanting to be rich you may be in for quite a wait. I know lots of actors who mostly make a living waiting tables and bartending (Myself included)
Most of us end up teaching or something because we get tired of just existing and need a steady income. But hey, you might be one of the lucky few that actually makes it out there.
