Usually it's the more progressive, advanced people that tend to be the more "obnoxious". In advanced cultures people tend to get a attitude of intitlement. We tend to think we are endowed with certain rights that go way beyond basic civil rights. Most nations people have to toil and earn certain things in advanced nations people are born into intitlement, thinking everything is taken care of. That causes obnoxiousness. Like on the freeway when people honk, curse, and flip you off becuase they are under the impression that the freeway was built for them and them only and you should respect that and get the flip out of their way.
While lets say in Africa there are no freeways and cars to fight about, and they are excited and happy to get rice and other food.
In advanced nations we smirk at the thought of someone giving us just rice... reasonably very obnoxious.

I wonder which country Americans find most obnoxious?
Mexico, which pumps immigrants into America, or
Cuba, or
North Korea, which threatens to give them a dose of their own medicine (Nuclear radiotherapy, that is)
or
India/Philipines which take their jobs
or
France, cos it refuses to kowtow to their foreign policy as it used to when ussr was around?

I'm sad to say it, but I think the US has the most obnoxious people on the planet. For example, every other country in the world has switched to metric measurements and the US is still in imperial... possibly because they're too "proud" to switch over? Possibly because they think they're better than the rest of the world? Who knows.

Americans. (and I am one). We are wasteful, ignorant and greedy people as a whole.... consumming 1/4 of the earth's resources and producing most of its waste. Shameful. (now, go start that Hummer to pick your kid up after school....)
