yes, you can (yes you are capable of such)
BUT !
if you really want the job, i would recommend dressing professionally.....no matter what the job is (NO jeans, NO shorts, DEFINITELY NO CUT-OFFS!!!)
guys, this means a nice shirt, nice slacks/dockers nice shoes (not sneakers)...shave, comb your hair, brush your teeth
girls, same option is available to you, as well as nice dress or nice skirt & blouse...(if dress or skirt, invest the few extra minutes to buy and wear panti-hose or stockings and nice shoes, can be high-heels if desired)...shave legs, comb hair, brush teeth
either: if going for job in a professional field (law, accounting, medical) invest in a suit (skirted suit for ladies)
and, ladies, if you choose to wear stockings and garter belt, don't think it is kinky...it is very classy, and used to be the only option before the 1960's when panti-hose came on the market

Absolutley no shorts on an interview. Wear a suit. If you don't have one, then piece one together (black slacks/skirt, black jacket, and a button down, collar blouse) or borrow clothes from your mom or a friend. No shorts whatsoever. Good luck!

the best color to wear in an interview is a dark shade like grey skirt/pants and a light top. i advise not to wear black, black is a powerful color and sometimes it comes off very strong in an interview.

of route. no longer only is it popular, it shows that you've a way of proposing your self while not having to seem too professional or too showy. Laid again and excellent i'd say.
