Despite the Huge Budget Deficits, the Wire Tapping, a War managed terribly, and many other things, a lot of people still support Bush. Can you think of ANYTHING he could do that would prevent these people from supporting him?

Unfortunately, even if he hosted a national showing of Michael Moore's documentary "Fahrenheit 9-1-1" AND told the attendees that this was the REAL story, the sheep would still follow their shepherd.
That is why they call it BLIND FAITH.
Now maybe if he wrote a letter to each of his supporters, and asked THEM to actually GO FIGHT his war...

~Apparently you haven't been paying attention to the news and views of folks around the world, let alone around the U.S. His popularity rating is the lowest it's ever been. Many people are mobilizing against the war in Iraq and Afghanistan, his ties to the oil boys (here and abroad), his demoralizing of the Drug Enforcement Agency, his impediment of scientific advancement, his "the rich get richer and the poor get poorer" fiscal policies, his cowboy foreign politics, his disregard for the Constitution, his blatant support of pernicious banking policies that favor foreign investors over Americans, and his manipulation of the truth to foster his agenda and the agenda of his lobbyist buddies, just to name a few things.

Other than that, I don't see any reason why we shouldn't support him.

PS to Matt: People have tried and even run other candidates, but the naive folks who care more about having someone with a good "Christian" image, kept electing him.

No Being redpublican is genetic. People will support their redpublican race the same way they support their race apparent (skin color)

It is part of the human make-up to support people of like identity. When the term racist is tossed around it is actually genetic identifiers that are being preferred one over another. And this is done on a global scale.

So you are born a Red Stater and nothing will change that. You have a proclivity to support your same specie.

Bush could announce that he is really Dracula and people would still feel compelled to vote for him.

Bush's current supporters are made up mostly of the conservative right. They don't support GW Bush as much as his ideologies. The conservative right has no choice but to turn a blind eye to the mismanagement of the economy, domestic and foreign affairs. Their only defense now is to claim anyone to the left of Bush (including John McCain) would be horribly worse, un-American, and supportive of terrorism. Terrorism has replaced Communism as the new Boogie-Man.

give them an alternative. if you are not part of the solution, you are part of the problem. run for office, get involved, vote. make the changes instead of crying about what a victim you are of this administration.
