I had my first yeast infection a week and a half ago it was horrible anyway it has cleared up. However, i gave it 2 my boyfriend and his penis is still very raw and tender since he is not circumsized. I can not even rub it without him being in pain. He went to the doctor and the doctor just gave him some topical cream and suggested some neosporin. I thought that by now it would have cleared up but when we had sex the other day it got worse the forskin was very red and tearing. Now i dont know how long we r going to have to wait to have sex.

Yes. A man can get a yeast infection from sexual contact with a woman who has a yeast infection. However, not every man exposed to a yeast infection will get one. Men are at increased risk of such an infection if they have diabetes or are uncircumcised.

Signs and symptoms of male yeast infection include:

Itching or burning at the head of the penis
Red rash on the penis
A male yeast infection is usually a relatively minor problem that can be easily treated with antifungal creams or ointments.

Women can also get yeast infections from men. So it is important to treat both partners if a yeast infection is suspected.

he needs to go to the doctor get the infection cleared and get circumcised... the tearing and the redness is just going to continue until this happens. There is damage done to the foreskin so all it will do is continually tear and scar and tear till eventually it will have to come off... see a doctor and get the forskin removed before it all has to come off.

Hello, I'm on the second week and seeing definite improvement on my yeast infection symptoms:

Note that: If the yeast infection doesn't respond to over the counter treatment, prescription medication will likely be necessary. Similarly, if the symptoms return after two months of being treated, you should contact the doctor for professional treatment rather than resorting again to home treatment.

If this is the first time you have experienced a yeast infection, you should schedule an appointment to have the condition treated by a doctor instead of resorting to home treatment

first you need to get an antibiotic for the yeast first clear your self and know your boyfriend will have to take the same medicine until you both are cleared. wait about a week or two depends on the severity of the yeast infection go back to the doctor and see if it has cleared the both of you because all you doing is spreading the infection back and fourth because it has not been treated properly

He needs to get to the doctor ASAP. Yeast infections on men can be REALLY bad, and cause some major problems. And as long as one of you has it, it will pass back and forth between you. Grow up, take some responsibility for your health, and at least wait until you are both healed.

Guys rarely react to a yeast infection from their partner. Are you sure you didn't give him something else? Or maybe he got something from someone else?

Would suggest you both get HIV/AIDS & STD tests right away. And for heaven's sake, wear a condom!!

Why are you having sex while he is still infected, he needs to see a doctor, sound like it might be something else.
