I don't like the Yankees, but I definitely respect them. They have an owner who will do whatever it takes to win, and they're in contention almost every season. As a fan, what more could you want from your team?
As for the contention that they represent all that's wrong with baseball, I disagree. Do I like them signing every free agent available, or spending $200 million a year for a team of all-stars? No, but they're just playing by the rules, and why not try to field a winner if you've got the resources?
If you want to blame anyone for the Yankees' exorbinant spending, blame the lack of a salary cap. The Yankees aren't doing anything wrong, unless you could trying to win as wrong.

I hate the Yankees with a passion. They represent everything that is wrong with baseball. Once they get Soriano back at 2nd base, they will once again have an all-star lineup. I wish they would take their huge payroll and buy another country to play in.

I was raised to hate the yankees. Everytimei see the word yankees or their symbol or something like that, i say to myself YANKEES SUCK!
