I find it insulting - the card readers normally have a display telling you to do it anyway - so if you type it in and hear "Can you type in your pin number please" shortly after, I reckon the best thing to do is to say, "Well I just bloody did, you retard - I'm not blind, I can read the display on the card reader, however you obviously can't" (but perhaps slightly more politely if you ever want to b served in that shop again!). ;-)

They are just doing their job - don't get so stressed about such a little thing! Chill. I do get a bit annoyed with the ones where you can put in a tip and I don't realise and press all the wrong buttons - but then, I'm easily confused!

if you dont like it, withdraw cash from the cashmachine outside the shap and use cash problem solved they dont ask cos you paying cash
