Well the real question is what triggered it. Has anything scared you about someone or something and it doesnt even have to be fear but your conscience. Have you done anything to a man in your life that you feel guilty about? They dont have to look alike but in ethier situation your mind tries to get a message across to you.

Anexity, Stress, fear can contribute to nightmare.
In you case that man can mean something
It can mean someone is departing you.. dying does always mean death in dreams. It could mean "departure" or "loss" in real life. Maybe you have missed something and you projected in the dream as a man dying in an accident
