Losing one of my children. I had two miscarriages between my first and second children and I was subsequently all paranoid throughout my fourth pregnancy (2nd child). I kept thinking it would go away, with each new milestone. Just get through the first trimester and it'll be okay. But I wound up with a psychotic doctor who told me my baby had Down's syndrome and I went through an amnioscentisis and then had moderate fluid leakage and thought I was going to miscarry again. When she was born, absolutely normal, I was paranoid about SIDS until her first birthday. Then things settled down for me, but she's three and very sensitive now and is terrified of everything (she hyperventilates at the car wash for example) so I wish I'd worked harder and settling my own nerves before.
With my third child it wasn't so bad. I was a little bit freaky but no more than average I'd say. He just turned one and he's not phased by anything. He's my little bulldog!
Sometimes when I read things like this...

I get extremely upset and have to go hide in my bedroom and have a good cry and pray, a lot. Other parents practically let their kids juggle knives, I have a first aid kit on every floor of the house, and two in the car (in case one is ejcted/crushed/burns in a car accident). Yeah, I know...

I have three great fears: spiders, tornadoes, and poltergeists. Funny thing is, none of these fears has a specific event attached. Fear of spiders is pretty common, but the bad experiences I've had happened after the phobia developed. Maybe my fear of tornadoes and poltergeists came about from my childhood, when I used to read about nothing but natural disasters and supernatural phenomena. Plus, I've always had recurring dreams involving tornadoes, and this has happened since I was young. But I'm not even sure if I believe in ghosts...I think I just have an overactive imagination.

I don't know the name of my fear but I have felt (feared) for a long time that I will one day develop Alzheimer's. I think it is because I have always had a lousy memory. No one else in my family has had it (that I remember, LOL) but I've always been afraid I will get it anyway.

I actually have more fears than anyone I know...not going to list all of them because it would take up the whole page. Some are rational and many are based on past events, but a lot of them are stupid (I'm afraid of lady bugs).

My greatest fear is someone I love dying in a car accident. I have known too many people who have died this way. But as for someone I am really close to, the thought terrifies me.

My greatest fear is going into a chinese take out restaurant, because I think they are going to want to fight me and it will look like a scene in a cheesy movie.
Besides I'm pretty tough, I don't want to hurt anyone

My greatest fear is heights, primarily related to falling from them. I took a nasty fall at 16 that fractured my skull, so anything that is high up with no safety space between me and the ledge makes me nervous.

There is no logical fear. All phobias develop because of a past event

Water, I've almost drowned three times in my life. First when someone pushed me into a pool when I was little, then in a lake when I got in over my head. last when I jumped into a wave pool and then the waves began and I didn't know that they were going to start. Been rescued by lifeguards all three times.

I am afraid of water, i almost drown one time when i was 3 and i can swim, but i never swim in open, un-man made waters, like oceans, quaries, or lakes, i only swim in pools that i know how deep they are and as long as they arent more than 13 feet deep.
